Journeyman
- Water is the most essential thing that life requires. Why is this?
- Some countries are running out of water, namely South Africa. Check this out
- How did they get to this point? What are they doing about it?
- What are other countries that have the same issue?
- Research the first chapter of Genesis, notice one of the first elements he puts into the world. What are comparisons between water and Christ?
- Read John 7:17, then 2 Nephi 9. This chapter is about the Atonement, can you figure out why are in total reliant on Christ for our lives (physical/spiritual)?
Master
Choose one or more of these:
1. Circles, cylinders, and spheres... oh my... EUREKA! Here's an invitation to become inspired by a mathematician, physicist, engineer, inventor, and astronomer that we all have a lot to be GRATEFUL for. This month in Eureka we will explore his inventions and discoveries related to or inspired by WATER (our focused area of science) and CIRCLES -because of pi day. There are exponential possibilities awaiting you, so just in! Which of his intriguing discoveries or advancements are you excited or curious about and grateful for:
- pulley
- Claw of Archimedes
- Archimedes screw
- Heat ray
- catapult
- odometer
- lever
- orrery or moving model of the sun and planets
- pi
- infinitesimal
- exponential
- equilibrium of planes
- King Hieron's crown
- or anything else about him, his life, writings or works.
Now make, experiment with or be able to teach others from what you learned.
2. Create something with circles, spheres or cylinders.
3. Play with and experiment with water. Come prepared to share what discovered. We can even do some if you coordinate with Sister Tyler.
* See how many gratitude prompts, from the link in Leadership, you can record this month. Bring your journal or notebook at the end of the month to show me how many you recorded for a reward.
